Fall Soundtrack 2013

Good morning!! Did you all sleep well? I did, just put on my favourite song lately. When I hear this song I get so much energy I can't explain it. I wanna dance, sing, jump, scream, act crazy… All those things at the same time. I've been listening to this song every morning for the past weak since the release and it never fails. I jump put of bed, hahah!
Have a great Tuesday :)

Relaxing Day + Weekend!

How are you guys? I'm great :D I've had a great time with great company the last couple of days, and of course I did a little shopping too!
Thursday I went out to visit one of my closest girlfriends, known her forever. We went around town a little, looked at a couple of shops, and found this amazing deal:

They were 70 % off ,I really couldn't resist especially when I don't have any boots that color at all. We both bought a pair. So now I'm 100% fall ready - Um, except I still need a jacket haha!
After that we went to a little sushi restaurant and got some amazing sushi, yum, could eat some right now! But we had a cozy evening, it's so nice to catch up and just have some girl time.

Friday my BF came, so I was busy all weekend spending time with him
I really hope you all had an amazing weekend, don't let Monday get you ;)

Why I don't drink Milk?

I mentioned in a earlier post that I don't drink milk, and some have probably been wondering why??
The first thing that most people think is that I'm lactose intolerant, but I'm not, not that I know of anyway.
The reason is that I break out so bad when I drink milk, I get acne!

So approximately 3 years ago I started getting acne, at the age of 20 years old, I never really had it before, I had a zit here and there but never anything special, never anything that had any significance for me. But then I hit 20 and started having cystic acne (The kind that is under the skin and REALLY hurts!), so I went to the doctor because I didn't know what else to do, it was really bad I had it basically in my whole face. The doctor immediately gave me antibiotics and when I started taking them it really helped, is was gone, only the scars was left. The cure was for 3 months and after that I stopped, the problem was it came back, full tilt. Like I was never on the antibiotic cure.

So when that didn't work I tired all kinds of creams, lotions, everything that you can try.
One day I was watching videos on Youtube, and I saw a video about this guy who said something about he found out his breakouts came from milk, so he stopped drinking it. Then I thought, I can try that, it won't hurt me so let's give it a go. I didn't drink milk for a month and I could see a significant change, I couldn't believe it, so I started drinking milk again and it came back. When I told the doctor he didn't believe me -  He didn't straight out tell me I was lying, but he didn't believe me - but I completely stopped after that.

Now my skin has gotten soooo much better, I don't have acne, but I still get pimples. I've thought about stopping with dairy all together, so I'm giving that a try now, let's see if it will get even better. I'll give you an update on that later.

So I have no guarantee for that this works, or that is the reason to acne, but you can always give it a try.
Have  a great Thursday

Workout Routine

I live in a different world than most when it comes to working out and eating healthy, because I want to gain weight not lose it! And that’s why I mostly do muscle building exercises. I do a lot of different ones so here is part of my list…
  • Squats 100
  • Pushups – As many as I can do in 1 min
  • Plank 1 ½ min + Side Plank 2 x 1 min
  • Wall-Sit 2 min
  • Crunches 2 x 25
I started this routine with a extended squat challenge, but I never finished because I could see the muscles forming on my thighs and it was too much for me (Who wants man legs???), I do this 4-6 days a week depending on my schedule and my mood, and it actually works! I gained 2 Kg. Yaaayy :D So I hope for further progress, I’ll update you later on that.
Now I’m gonna do my workout, before eating dinner!  Talk to you guys later

Pretty Little Things

So I went out to buy a little thing for one of my friends and of course I ended up buying something for myself too, sales really are dangerous, they just suck you in! Anyway I found these pretty little earrings from Pilgrim and fell in love instantly!

So 2 pairs for me and a pair for my friend, I really hope she will like them. Well I'm gonna go do an assignment I need to finish for tomorrow.

Fall Shopping

Sooooo I went shopping after the First-Aid course Thursday, and there's really a lot of sales going on in the different shops right now! And we really liiiike that, ohhh yea!! So of course I bought a couple of things, even if they're from the late summer collection I think they will be perfect for my fall wardrobe. Can't wait to use some of these :D

Water

I Have made myself a goal to drink more water! I'm really bad a drinking any kind of fluid during the day. On a good day I drink 1 L, and the normal recommendations are 2 L, so that means I have to double up my intake of water. Which is really hard when you never really feel thirst and when you are busy, you just forget sometimes. Most days I come home from work, and realize the only fluid I have been drinking is my one cup of tea in the morning.

The reason I'm so focused on drinking enough fluid is because it's so important for our bodies. The body consists of up to 60% water, that's more than half! You loose some of that 60% every time you breathe, go to the bathroom, sweat etc. And if you don't replenish it, you will get dehydrated which means,  you can get sick more often, get obstipated, feel tired, get headaches more often and a lot more! So of course it's important to drink enough water, it's the most important basic need after breathing!

Now how do we start drinking more water? Because we all know it's easy to say that now I'm going to drink more water. But it's hard to actually do so. What I do is I take a container that I know can hold a certain amount of water, for instance a water bottle that can contain 0,5 L and then my goal is to drink 4 of those a day. It's much easier to drink more when you have a specific goal.

So now I'm going to go back to my 1,75 L of water I still need to drink today, it's almost as hard as having a second job, haha…
Have a great Sunday!

Save A Life...

We had a First-Aid course at work today, because we got an automated external defibrillator (AED), you know one of those where the doctor gives a electrical shock to the patient when their heart isn't beating. Well, we had to learn how to use it today plus normal First-Aid. During this course we had a heated discussion about what people do during a "crisis", almost all of us had experienced a situation where there were people who would just stand and look at this person who was having a heart attack maybe.

I can't comprehend how it is possible to stand by a person that you can see needs help, but you don't do anything to help. They don't even call 911, or maybe bring to someone else's attention that this person needs help. It's sad that we live in a society where someone can collapse in a crowd and it will take 20 minutes before there is any reaction from the surroundings. There is so little required, you only have to call 911 and stay by the person. The operator will tell you what to do and send help.

I hope you will all take that little amount of responsibility it takes to make a call and save a life.

Iphone 5S

And the new IPhones  are out, and yes it's plural, so I guess Apple decided to do something new this time. Iphone 5C is colorful and doesn't have as many features as the 5S, and ohhh do I want me some IPhone 5S in GOLD, It's a little out of the box for Apple but they did it good. I can't wait for my contract to be done, then I can invest in that beauty.
Well I have to get down from my Apple cloud and get ready for work!
Have a great day

Only Once A Week...

What I'm Wearing:
H&M Knitted Sweater - Bought it on sale
Vila Jeggings
H&M Leather Belt
Graceland Ankle Boots
Pilgrim Bracelet
Inex Watch

In my line of work you have to wear a uniform, even tho my boss is very large about what we wear, but that means I can't wear my own clothes on a daily basis. So I really LOVE my study days (every Tuesday) where I can wear my own clothes and dress up a little, wear some heels you know!
So this is today's outfit - I feel like a rebel walking around the pharmacy without my pink top and black bottoms.

Dior Homme...

Did you guys see the new Dior Homme add?
Personally I'm not a Robert Pattinson fan and he didn't do it for me in the Twilight movies. But I got to say that he really impressed me in this add, he's got some edge and sexiness I haven't seen from him before. He makes it very personal in my opinion... What do you guys think?

Baking Cake!

So I was baking a cake yesterday and I decided to share the recipe with you guys!
Here goes:
2 Eggs
300 g Sugar
75 g Margarine
1 tsp. Soda
1 tsp. Baking soda
1 tsp. Vanilla sugar
2 dl Milk
300 g Flour

The thing is after I started mixing the ingredients I figured out I don’t really follow the recipe.
I do butter instead of margarine because I never have margarine? I don’t do regular soda at all – I always feel like I can taste it.. Yucky!. Then I use yogurt instead of milk – I never have milk in the house because I don’t drink it (more on that later).
So I guess the real recipe looks like this:

2 Eggs
300 g Sugar
75 g Butter
1 tsp. Baking soda
1 tsp. Vanilla sugar
2 dl Yogurt
300 g Flour
You can make it as a chocolate cake too, just add 1 dl of Cocoa powder.

Start with setting the oven at 180°C (356° F) and then mix the eggs and sugar, then you add the butter (easier if room temperature or melted) and mix, then add the baking soda, vanilla sugar and yogurt and mix well, lastly add the flour little by little and stir well.
Butter the cake forms well before putting the batter in so they will slip easily. And then just keep an eye on them. When you put a toothpick in the cake there shouldn't stick anything to it.

This batch is enough to bake both the cakes on the pictures so it will be a good size cake!
Try it and tell me what you think :)

P.S. We probably should have been eating this, right? ;)
